Motivation and Objectives †The way for Japan where the resource, energy and food are limited, to survive and contribute to the 21st century world is to bring up the creative talents who can procreate new values. While modern science and technology have brought us various convenience of life, they also have given the negative effects to the global environment and the human mind. At this time, we must understand the human mind and its creative function so that we can take a turn for the society, which can match better to the human beings. We (human beings) are now in the existence via two "Big Bang". One is the birth of the cosmos, which occurred 13.7 billion years ago and another is the "cultural Big Bang" which occurred from 60 to 30 thousands years ago by our ancestor, Homo sapiens. In this period, human beings had developed the culture explosively; the first art, the high level technology and the religion are said to have appeared. As a result, it is believed that we human beings had begun to store the knowledge and then to pursuit their curiosity with "why". Concerning the creativity, many studies and discussions have been made. The creativity in science and art, the specificities of creativity depending on nation, region, gender and age, and the creativity related to psychiatry, etc, have been studied and discussed. Among these studies and discussions, we can find the key point at issue. The key point of these discussions could be "the new unified knowledge, which has been thought to be irrelevant to each other up to now", and which is assumed to be the wisdom acting on the unification. This can be called "Co-Creation" if it is referred among people. Now is the time to clarify the brain scientific grounds and that is thought to be indispensable in order to promote a sound development of creativity. In executing such activities, we establish NPO Neurocreative Laboratory aiming at the demonstration and application of researches through cooperation with domestic and foreign research institutes, as well as our own institute, so that we can contribute happiness for mankind via the research and the technological improvement concerning the brain and the creativity.
