About the brain science and the creativity †Upon the advent of the 21st century, it is said that maximizing and making best use of the creativity of people is essential for our country to keep developing in the international society. The creativity tends to be thought that it is the talent with which only some people who are called a genius would be gifted, however, I think everyone must potentially own the ability to activate ones "creative" wisdom. It is necessary to develop the technique provided for public to perform to the best of his/her creative potential. There is pioneering work of KJ method by Jiro Kawada in our country for this technique, and a lot of proposals have been performed afterwards. In 1992, the achievement of the research was published as "Creative Cognition: Theory, Research, Applications" by the group of Steven M. Smith of A&M University in Texas, which tackled the issue head-on with demystifying the creativity. On the other hand, Shouji Yamada emphasizes the role of the imitation in the Japanese culture by creative endeavors, and says that there is no such a thing as the intrinsic originality, and it is imitation that is important. Although what introduced here is only a part of the discussion concerning the creativity, "the brain scientific evidence" to get the answer to the discussion is required now. The brain imaging technology that has developed rapidly in recent years came to be used to investigate the higher-order functions of the brain which are not only perceptions and the action but also the memories and the language activities, and etc. This sort of trend begins to be adopted for the research aiming to the creativity, and the group of Russian Academy of Sciences is attempting the identification of the significant brain area related to the creativity by the use of PET and etc. in 2000. Moreover in University Of Florida the group of Heilman has started the research for the neurotransmitter related to the creativity. Thus, movement to the brain science to seek the evidence of creativity is becoming active increasingly. We believe that the pursuit of what spatiotemporal dynamics of the brain activates related to the creative wisdom leads to the development of "the creativity technique" that everyone can utilize. It is said to be timely that we start the creativity research using the brain imaging technology.
